Ikkou’s Galleryは、３名の東京在住のアーティスト、
アーニャ・ベアトリス・スターン、高林怜奈、及び村主莉花によるグループ展
『コミュニケーション・サンドウィッチ』を開催いたします。
展示のタイトルである『コミュニケーション・サンドウィッチ』は
３名のアーティストの友情や作品制作への興味から名付けられました。
タイトルは、彼女らの極端に違う性格やバックグラウンドをサンドする
という彼女らの仲間内でのコミュニケーションの取り方を持ち出しています。
スターン、高林、村主はテンプル大学ジャパンキャンパスのアート学科で出会いました。
彼女らの制作の幅は、アプローチから表現方法まで大きく異なります。
グループ展『コミュニケーション・サンドウィッチ』は、３名の個人的な
物語やアプローチを共有し、さらに大きく飛躍していくための飛び石として
位置付けられています。
Ikkou’s Gallery is pleased to present a group exhibition
“Communication Sandwich” by three Tokyo-based artists
Anya Beatrice Stern, Lena Takabayashi and Rika Muranushi.
“Communication Sandwich” was sparked from the three artists’
friendship and their shared interest in making art. The title suggests
the communication style of this friend group, where three drastically
different personalities and backgrounds are “sandwiched” together by art.
Stern, Takabayashi and Muranushi met each other in the Art Department
at Temple University Japan. The range of works from each artist differs
drastically in their approach and visual representation.
Navigating the challenges in holding a group exhibition and
each other’s differences, “Communication Sandwich”
hopes to share the three artists’ personal narratives and
approaches as well as being the stepping stone for them
to leap forward as artists.
